Les 3° Journées d’Informatique et Archéologie de Paris (JIAP 2012) auront lieu les 1 et 2 juin 2012 à l’Institut d’Art et d’Archéologie, Grand Amphithéâtre, de 9h 30 heures à 17h 30. Les thèmes retenus pour les JIAP 2012 : « La révolution de la 3D en Archéologie : acquisition laser, photomodélisation, réalité virtuelle et augmentée ». Une session sera consacrée aux ontologies en archéologie. Les résumés français et anglais des communications (500 mots maximum) d’une durée 20 minutes doivent être déposés avant le 15 Mai 2012 sur le site en utilisant le menu  « proposer une communication » ou envoyé par mail aux organisateurs.

    <item>      <title>3rd International Glacial Archaeology Conference</title>      <description>June 3, 2012, 9:00am | 
Following the tremendous success of the two previous symposiums in Berne, Switzerland in 2008 and Trondheim, Norway in 2010, the 2012 conference will highlight the discoveries of North American glacial archaeologists and showcase the opening of a major new Yukon First Nation Cultural Centre featuring ice patch discoveries. The 3rd International Glacial Archaeology Conference will be hosted by Kwanlin Dün First Nation and Government of Yukon. Glacial Archaeology is a developing field of study focusing on the global phenomenon of prehistoric and historical materials melting from a variety of frozen contexts. These frozen contexts may include alpine ice patches, glaciers, permafrost and arid, high elevation sites. Glacial Archaeology is a multidisciplinary field of investigation with ties to a broad range of sciences such as climatology, glaciology and conservation science. The opening date for conference registration is November 21, 2011.

    <item>      <title>Seminar on Virtual Archaeology: Communication in a digital view</title>      <description>June 19, 2012, 9:00am | 
The third ed. of "Seminar on Virtual Archaeology" provided by a PhD of University of Rome "La Sapienza", focus on the digital communication inside archaeology. In the new way of third millennium this discipline reveal a difficult to change it's mind from a paper view to digital view, but the people know and use the digital view better than traditional form of communication.


During the two days we confront about these theme in a two form: a scientific view about the project submitting by scholars and analizing by scientific commettee, and a didactical view for introduce the students in the field.

The 12th colloquium of the AIEMA will be held in Venice, from the 11th to the 15th of September 2012, invited by the Rector of the Ca’Foscari University Prof. Carlo Carraro and through the initiative of Professor Giordana Trovabene. Theme : The main theme of the colloquium will be centered on parietal mosaics, from their origins to the VIIIth century A.D. Other than grottos and nymphae, we will be looking at ornamental basins in a domestic context, thermal basins (private and public), ceilings and vaults in the contexts of residencies, monuments, places of worship, funerary contexts, etc. A second theme will be directed towards new discoveries and unpublished documents, concerning all mosaic types (wall and floor). Languages : The following languages will be accepted : Italian, German, English, Spanish, French.

En 2012 il portera sur « LE PORTRAIT ROMAIN ET SES DEBATS ». La présentation de découvertes archéologiques récentes, ou bien de sculptures méconnues, ainsi que des nouvelles techniques d’investigations scientifiques au service de l’étude des matériaux et de la mise en œuvre de la sculpture antique.
