TheArchaeologicalBox.com launches a new archaeological studies bursary

Montreal, September 15th, 2009 - TheArchaeologicalBox.com is proud to announce the creation of the Edna Gagner: Level 1 | International Bursary of Archaeological Studies. This scholarship, in honor of Mrs. Edna Gagner, a philanthropist of archaeology whose support allowed the creation of TheArchaeologicalBox.com, will be awarded on an annual basis to an undergraduate (or equivalent grade) student. This bursary of $1,000CAD has been setup by TheArchaeologicalBox.com in order to encourage and recognize excellence in archaeological studies.

From varied disciplines, participants must demonstrate both their interest and their archaeological knowledge in the research project. The short paper, developed on  a maximum of five pages, must present one of the six themes pre-selected by TheArchaeologicalBox.com. Projects, along with a duly completed entry form, must be submitted before January 1st 2010.

Participants must apply between September 15th, 2009 and December 31st, 2009. The winner will be announced on March 1st,  2010 at 5:00  PM. Participants will be evaluated on the excellence of their research project by a jury composed of archaeology graduate members of TheArchaeologicalBox.com team. Moreover, the entry form and the research project must be submitted in a Microsoft Word 2003 or 2007 compatible format at info@thearchaeologicalbox.com. In regards to our environmental standards and  in an effort to reduce our use of paper, we will not be accepting any paper submissions.
