TheArchaeologicalBox.com announces the 2010 edition of its international bursary of archaeological studies

Montreal May 11th, 2010 - TheArchaeologicalBox.com is proud to announce the 2010 contest of the Edna Gagner | International Bursary of Archaeological Studies. This scholarship, in honor of Mrs. Edna Gagner, a philanthropist of archaeology whose support allowed the creation of TheArchaeologicalBox.com, is awarded on an annual basis to a university or equivalent grade) student. This bursary of $1,000CAD has been setup by TheArchaeologicalBox.com in order to encourage and recognize excellence in archaeological studies.

From varied disciplines, participants must demonstrate both their interest and  their archaeological knowledge in their project. The 2010 contest will encourage candidates to join together media and science. Throughout the summer, chronicle your archaeological internship via your TheArchaeologicalBox.com blog including photos, videos and even audio.

Share your internship experience while demonstrating your progress, your learning, your group interactions, etc.. Tell us what methods of excavation you are using, what conservation principles you are learning, what technical skills you are acquiring , all the while sharing questions and comments. Feel free to arouse our interest and that of your readers.

Participation deadline is October 10th 2010. The winner will be announced on the 14th of October, during the "All Roads Lead to Archaeology : Interdisciplinary Crossroads" colloquium.
