So what are the choices for an archaeologist today?
WHS Standard Archaeology Trowel:
Hardened and tempered the WHS Archaeology trowel has a thicker blade and is specially designed for
archaeologists by archaeologists. There is a high lift for extra knuckle clearance and has been Solid forged for

WHS Professional Archaeology Trowel:
Just like the standard trowel, the Professional trowel has been hardened and tempered with a thicker bladeand higher knuckle clearence. The main difference is a soft handle for extra grip and sensitivity. (Made in England)
Battiferro Archaeology Trowel:
The Battiferro trowel is made from a single piece
of solid forged steel and is designed soley for archaeology. It has a small orange handle that is easier on the wrist and has been designed with a unique sharpened 11cm blade. (Made in Italy)
