Please send entry forms to the following address: info@thearchaeologicalbox.com. We strongly encourage participants to become familiar with our rules and regulations prior to  submitting  their form. RULES AND REGULATIONS

The deadline for applications  is August 15, 2010. Within 24 hours, a receipt we will email you a receipt confirming the success of your application. If you do not receive this confirmation, please contact TheArchaeologicalBox.com at the following address: info@ thearchaeologicalbox.com. Your application,  will be revised upon receipt and, in the event of incomplete or missing information, we will send you a second email  explaining  the procedure to complete or correct your submission. Once your submission is considered complete, it will then be evaluated by the scientific committee. The committee will either accept or reject each  individual submission. A reply will be sent no later than September 1, 2010.

* Please note that publication of the conference proceedings will follow. This publication will be available free of charge, online via TheArchaeologicalBox.com in early 2011.

SCIENTIFIC COMMITTEE

Three curators of the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, Mr. John M. Fossey, Mr. Victor Pimentel and Ms. Laura Vigo, will make up the scientific committee.

  • Mr. John M. Fossey, Emeritus Curator of Mediterranean Archaeology – Montreal Museum of Fine Arts;
  • Mr. Victor Pimentel, Curator of Pre-Colombian Art - Montreal Museum of Fine Arts;
  • Ms. Laura Vigo, Curator of Asian Art - Montreal Museum of Fine Arts.


COMMUNICATION

Each speaker will be allocated a 30 minute block: a 20 minute presentation followed by a short question period.

Papers may be submitted by only one or two presenters. In the case of two presenters, one  is designated presenter and the other  secondary presenter.

ABSTRACT (maximum 250 words)

An abstract of 250 words should accompany each submission. This summary will be published online on TheArchaeologicalBox.com and printed in the official colloquium program.

In the event of multiple authors, please indicate the name of the presenter first and he/she will be regarded as the primary author. Please use the following format (author, affiliation).

FRENCH / ENGLISH

Submissions, presentations and abstracts can be submitted in French or English.


ROOM AND AUDIOVISUAL

The Maxwell-Cummings Auditorium, located in the Liliane and David M. Stewart Pavilion of the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, has all the equipment necessary for the projection of data files, slides and 16 or 35mm films, Dolby SR sound, as well as Betacam, VHS and Umatic video projection.

Presenters requiring access to additional equipment  must  indicate this on their submission form. Presenters wishing to use their own audiovisual equipment must also  indicate this on their submission forming in order to avoid any unnecessary complications during the event.

An audiovisual requirement confirmation will be sent to all speakers by October 1.
